Dugi Otok
Dugi otok is an island in the Adriatic Sea, which belongs to the Zadar archipelago of northern islands. Debt is ca. 50 km, 4,6 km wide and has about 1,700 residents. The island is 113.3 km2, and the length of 44.5 km. Dugi otok is widely famous for its natural attractions: Nature Park Telašćica, sandy beach Sakarun, Veli Rat lighthouse are just some of them. Telašćica Park and Sakarun are protected parts of the island, in the vicinity of the southern part of the island is National Park Kornati. The island is full of many natural sandy and rocky beaches that take your breath away.
The island has 12 villages located along the island: Sali, Zaglav, Žman, Luka, Savar, Brbinj, Dragove, Božava, Soline, Verunić, Polje and Veli Rat.
SALI - the largest village on the island and administrative center of the island. Sali are the door of Kornati! They are located in the southern part of the island. For more than 1000 years in Sali is developing fishing tradition, what is confirmed by the first written document about fishing in our region. Fish factory Mardešić which produces fish cannery is here more than 100 years. Besides fishing, agriculture and olive is also developed and last 50 years tourism began to develop. The town has one hotel (Hotel Sali) and most of the private accommodation of the island.
We can not talk about Sali and not to mention its most famous cultural event Sali fest - a three-day festival, which is traditionally held in August since 1958. Donkey music soon became the trademark of this event.

ZAGLAV - One of the smaller towns on the island and is located across the bay Triluke. Located in a well- protected bay, so it is a port for connection to the mainland by boat. Also, it is located on the regional road running along the island and island 's only gas station (for cars and boats) is there.
ZMAN - The town and harbor on the south-eastern part of the island, northwest of Sali and Zaglava and southeast of Luka. By population is another place on the island. The villagers are mostly engaged in agriculture and fishing.
LUKA - City in the central part of the island, and is situated under the highest island mountain Vela straza. The nearest town is Zman (from southeast) and Savar (north-west). The place is characterized by attractive walkways and natural beaches. Developed tourism, thanks to a safe anchorage bays often yachts. There is a hotel Luka as well as private accommodation houses.
SAVAR - Village in the central part of the island, which was first mentioned in the 13th century. It is situated at an altitude of 62 m Town is famous for its cave Strasna pec, the first organized excursion not only on Dugi otok but wider, which was visited by Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph in 1904. The most interesting attractions of this place is church St. Pelegrin.
BRBINJ - village in a cove on the north coast of the island, 12 km south of Bozava. At the monent is the only ferry port on the island. Economy is based, as in other places on the island of farming and fishing. The northern part of the bay is protected from all winds, and the exterior is mostly barren.
DRAGOVE - a village in the northeastern part of the island, 4 km southeast of Bozava and 9 km northwest of the port Bribinj.
SOLINE - small village on the north-western part of the island. It is situated in a large bay Soliscica. It was named after the old salt works that are in the bay. Not far from the sand beach Saharun.
BOZAVA - a small town and port on the north coast of the island. Near the island Zverinac which is also part of the municipal hall. The most developed tourist resort on the island, with a hotel complex (Hotels Bozava) and high-class restaurants.
VERUNIĆ - a village also known as Verona. Small village with landscaped promenade along the sea and two ports in the northwestern part of the island. Besides private apartment and nautical tourism, Verunic is also known by the baroque church of Our Lady of Carmel in 1697. year.
VELI RAT - a village and harbor in the northwestern part of the island on the coast of the famous lighthouse of Veli Rat.
